I need an alternative to my 3:30pm sugar fix and I also need to stop spending $4 on one protein ball from the cafe at work! So, here is my alternative…yummy, squishy choc-PB protein balls

INGREDIENTS:
– 2 tbspn nautural peanut butter
– 2 tbspn cacao powder  
– 3 tbspn choc protein powder (I use dairy-free, but if you aren’t sensitive & can tolerate whey, go ahead!)
– 1 tbspn chia seeds
– 12 dates
– 1 cup almonds (or nuts of your choice)
– A little almond milk or coconut oil if you feel mixture is too crumbly
– Desiccated coconut to taste

METHOD:
– Blend together PB, cacao, protein, chia seeds & dates
– Add in almonds & blend again until mixture is ‘crumbly’
– Roll into balls
– Put coconut into a plastic container. Put 5 or so balls into the container, place the lid on & shake, shake, shake to coat in coconut!
– Repeat until they are all coated

Made about 20 small protein balls, but you can roll them bigger if you wish! (Try not to eat them all at once!!)
