I am the proud owner of a new Slow Pressed Juicer!
I love my juices and ‘detoxes’ but have been using my blender previously, which worked well but my beetroot and harder vegetables were still a little bit clumpy. Now I have found my solution and I feel like the possibilities are endless!
I love using fresh beetroot – it is high in so many vitamins; A, C and K, as well as magnesium, iron, potassium and sulfur. It has been said to heal the skin, liver, kidneys, eyes, helps with tiredness, detoxification and skin problems. Plus, it makes my juices pink! I blend up the leaves with a handful or 2 of kale as well to get the most out of my beetroot that I can.
I try to add at least 3 or 4 veggies, because I don’t eat enough of them and also because if you use too much fruit your juice becomes too high in sugar.
A few of my favourite juices at the moment are:
Beetroot, green apple, lemon, carrot and celery
Coconut water blended with frozen kale and beetroot leaves then added to the juice including the body of the beetroot, pineapple, apple, carrot, celery, cucumber, kiwi fruit and passionfruit. YUM!

I have also just purchased a Thermomix & am so excited to be making my juices and smoothies in my very own ‘Thermie’ 🙂 to make a juice, just place all the ingredients into the Thermomix bowl and blend for 2 mins/speed 10. Check the consistency and if you’d like it a bit runnier, add some more water and blend again for 30 sec/speed 10.
